Artist Biography    

      Sara Brogdon was born in 1971 and raised in Augusta, Georgia. She spent her teenage summers in the North Georgia mountains, where she became fascinated with the landscapes, houses, and people scattered throughout.    

           

          She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Orleans in 2011, then worked in New Orleans as an assistant manager at the Canary Art Gallery for a year.

   She received her MFA in Painting and Drawing from the San Francisco Academy of Art University in 2018, and in May of 2022, she earned her MAT from Central Washington University. She works at The North Seattle French School as the Art Specialist, teaching visual art to grades K-5, and at Woodinville Montessori School teaching art to grades 4th-10th.

     Her paintings rely heavily on symbols, color, and allegory and are inspired by nature, animals, and the people around her.
